Around 8:15 a.m. during Thursday morning's commute, witnesses spotted a man just west of the Bay Bridge toll plaza "dancing with a can of gasoline" and taunting firefighters while a white pickup truck burned behind him.

“Whether he started it or not, I don’t know," CHP Officer Kevin Bartlett told the Chronicle. "We’ll have to investigate.”

No one was injured in the incident, but authorities had their suspect in custody and the flames snuffed out by 8:35 a.m. All lanes re-opened for the morning commute by 9 a.m.

And, there's video, of course:

Update, 12 p.m.: According to CBS5/KPIX, officers from the Department of Homeland Security happened to be in the area. DHS and CHP have placed the man on involuntarily psychiatric hold.
