To me, BD Wong will always be Sergeant Louie from Executive Decision. Maybe to you he's Sheng from Mulan, Dr. Huang from Law and Order: SVU, or the priest from Oz. But tonight he's just a guy chatting with the American Conservatory Theater’s Artistic Director about "his upcoming A.C.T. debut, as well as his illustrious career."

Wong will be treading A.C.T's boards next month in their upcoming production of The Orphan of Zhao, but this evening he's got far fewer lines to memorize, as he sits down for a talk with Carey Perloff at the Geary Theater.

George Dobbins, VP of Programming at the Commonwealth Club (which is co-presenting the event) reminds us that Wong "is the only actor to be honored with the Tony Award, Drama Desk Award, Outer Critics Circle Award, Clarence Derwent Award, and Theater World Award for the same performance in M Butterfly on Broadway."

This is probably a good time to mention that Wong is also an SF native, who went to Lincoln High School and SF State. Score one for the home team!
