The late season wildfire burning in the Los Padres National Forest in Big Sur is still moving slowly, and as of Tuesday night it had burned 769 acres and was 20 percent contained. It's being called the Pfeiffer Fire, FYI.

22 buildings, many around Pfeiffer Ridge in Big Sur, have been destroyed, including 14 homes, since the fire broke out in the middle of the night between Sunday and Monday.

Among those affected was the chief of the Big Sur volunteer fire brigade, Martha Karstens, who lost her home of 23 years to the blaze. She told ABC 7 that her house is in an area that hasn't burned in about 100 years, meaning the area is fuel-rich.

Luckily winds have been calm and there's a small chance of rain today, so progress on containment is moving quickly. Firefighters say it should be fully contained by Friday.

The fire is burning just a mile from popular Big Sur tourist spots like the Ventana Inn, and the old-growth redwood grove where Sean Parker had his crazy insane Game of Thrones/Lord of the Wings wedding in June.
