Over on Fifth and Bryant on Wednesday, a cyclist was critically injured after his bike collided with a car's read end.

"The 38-year-old bicyclist was riding behind a vehicle heading north on Fifth Street, and rode into the rear of the car when it stopped," according to SF Appeal. The unidentified man was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for life-threatening head injuries.

This year alone, four cyclists were killed by drivers in the area, and this past Sunday, a driver hit a cyclist and then fled the scene near Seventh and Mission.
