Police are asking for help in finding a man they say sexually assaulted a woman in San Francisco's Richmond District this past July. (The incident happened on July 30 at around 6:30 p.m. but wasn't reported until Oct. 7.)

While walking near California and 30th Avenue, a woman was approached by a man inside a car asking her for directions to the Legion of Honor museum. He asked her to get in the vehicle to help him get to the museum, but once inside the car, the suspect allegedly drove to a dead end at El Camino del Mar near the museum, locked the doors, and then proceeded to assault her.

SF Appeal has more on the suspect's description: "The suspect was described as a white man between 25 and 28 years old who is about 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 170 pounds, has a light complexion and wide nose and wore a blue T-shirt and blue jeans."

Anyone with information on the suspect should call SFPD's anonymous tip line at 415-575-4444 or via tip by text message to TIP411 with "SFPD" in the message.
