Sad news. Over at 16th and Potrero near the Safeway shopping plaza, a man was struck and killed by a car Saturday night.
"The pedestrian, 62-year-old Han Cheng Li, was hit by a white van at about 11:35 p.m.," notes SF Appeal. "He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with a major head injury and died several hours later."
Although the incident remains under investigation, the driver of the car, a man in his fifties, remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
