Noted Republican campaign donor Herman Rowland Sr., the CEO of Fairfield, CA-based Jelly Belly, has recently donated $5,000 to an effort to get a referendum on the ballot to overturn the California law requiring schools to make accommodations for trans students. As reported earlier, the effort is being spearheaded by the same bigoted creep who brought us Proposition 8, and Rowland is one of a number of his cohorts who apparently believe that transgenderism and gender identity are some crazy fiction that the left made up to confuse them and anger God.

Rowland donated to an organization called Privacy for All Students, which is dedicated solely to repealing Assembly Bill 1266, which was signed into law in August. The law guarantees transgender students equal access to bathrooms, locker rooms, sport teams and other gender-segregated facilities at school and Privacy for All Students is trying to get to 5,000 signatures to stop the law from taking affect and get an initiative to overturn it next November.

So, it's pretty much the same people who think that gayness is an abomination and gay marriage an affront to their own marriages and now they can't live with the idea that some people are born with gender dysmorphia and that those freaks might have to share a locker room with their children.

The National Center for Lesbian Rights has started this petition to tell Rowland that he's hurting kids with this donation. Feel free to sign.

If you believe trans people exist, and if you think trans kids ought to be able to use the bathrooms and locker rooms they wish to use, then perhaps you should stop eating Jelly Belly jelly beans. They're bad for your teeth anyway.
