Chef Hiroo Nagahara, he of The Chairman Truck, will join Chef Michael Rotondo at Parallel 37. What's a food truck chef doing with a Ritz-Carlton chef, you shriek? Shhh. Before moving to San Francisco, the two worked together at Charlie Trotter's in Las Vegas. They're lke the Matt Damon-Ben Affleck of the gastronomic scene, basically. Buds. Bros. Champs.

Anyway, the two will join forces this Sunday, June 23, to create a one-night-only, six-course tasting menu that mashes together Japanese-inspired dishes and Modernist cuisine. (One still can't even whisper "fusion" these days, can one? Too soon? Our bad.)

The pop-up menu, available for one seating at 6:30 p.m., will run you $100 ($70 more for wine pairing). Reservations can be made at 415-773-6168.
