Let's take a break from rivalry and fan violence to focus on the good the Dodgers do. Yeah, the good. During the Dodgers-Giants series at AT&T Park this past weekend, Matt Kemp lifted a young fan's spirits when he gave him a signed ball. And his jersey. And his shoes.
The kid's father was able to grab the attention of the Dodgers third-base coach Tim Wallach, who told Kemp about his young fan. Kemp rushed over and did something pretty damn extraordinary. Video uploader stayinghigh4209 describes the touching scene:
Matt Kemp is such a great person. He came over after the game and made one of my best friends night :) he's fighting a tough battle and this was such a great gift by Matt Kemp ! I'll never forget this.
Classy and touching. All around. Even the background guy in the Giants jacket agrees.
