San Francisco may have failed to bring the party to New Orleans last week, but at least one neighborhood is going all out for tonight's Fat Tuesday celebrations. Well, "all out" in San Francisco style, at least. Don't expect anyone to be throwing beads for boobs along Hayes Street this evening. But you can expect: a small procession led by Jazz Mafia, a crawfish boil and people getting drunk on Hurricanes.

Our pals at Hayeswire laid out the details on tonight's festivities — both organized and ad hoc — taking place in the neighborhood. It all starts with a Mardi Gras parade leaving Place Pigalle at 5:30 p.m. From there it's a sort of choose-your-own-Mardi Gras adventure: Just outside the neighborhood, Brick and Mortar Music Hall is hosting their 17th annual Mardi Gras ball. Neighborhood cajun joint Boxing Room is hosting a crawfish boil with a special Abita beer release and live New Orleans Jazz. Meanwhile, the fruity cocktail experts over at Smuggler's Cove will be elevating the Hurricane with fresh ingredients in lieu of the ubiquitous Bourbon street drink mix.

If none of those catch your fancy, any bar worth drinking in ought to know how to pour a Sazerac.
