Late last week, a Muni bus became the latest victim of gunplay in the Bayview district. The bus was traveling near the intersection of Third Street and Paul Avenue around 11 p.m. on Friday when the driver heard gunfire and noticed all of her passengers ducking for cover. Though injured, the bus managed to make it another block down Gilman Avenue before pulling over on Jennings Street where its passengers spilled out onto the street.

Investigators on the scene found some gunshot damage on the rear of the vehicle, Bay City News reports, but the vehicle proved to be too tough for gunfire. No passengers were injured in the incident and the Muni bus is expected to survive.

If anyone has any information about the dastardly shooter who tried to assassinate the Municipal Railway vehicle, you are encouraged to contact SFPD's anonymous tipline at (415) 575-4444 or via text message to TIP411.
