Last weekend in the Outerlands, plainclothes SFPD officers in the vicinity of 47th Avenue and Fulton Street spotted a familiar neighborhood criminal riding his bicycle on the sidewalk. When the officers stopped to question the biker and his pedestrian acquaintance, the man on foot turned out to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest and a baggie of meth. Once again giving us some clues about the kind of people who ride their bikes on the sidewalk.

According to SFPD's Richmond Station Newsletter, the biker was let off the hook for his crime against pavement. His 47-year-old methy acquaintance, it turns out, had also stolen a necklace and a candleholder from his house. The biker decided not to press charges over the stolen goods, but the meth suspect was booked for the outstanding warrant and several narcotics violations.
