As Mission Mission pointed out last week, this oddly elegant yet telling shark-fin mural, which depicts a dead shark strewn next to its freshly sliced-off fin, was inspired by Kool Kid Kreyola's "Me and My Shark" video. Behold:

In addition to brining to light the harmful practice of shark fin hunting and consuming (like foie gras, it is also banned in California), it's also part of a shark art tour coming to the city this weekend called The Great West Coast Migration at Spoke Art in Lower Nob Hill. It runs from July 27 - 28.
