The man accused of allegedly slashing a colleague at the TCHO chocolate factory with a box cutter, then shot and killed by police, was identified as Pralith Pralourng, 32, of Oakland. Pralourng, if you recall, got into a physical altercation with a colleague, which resulted in a stabbing. He then fled the Pier 17 factor while trying to evade officers. After lunging at a cop with the box cutter, he was shot twice.

Pralourng later died at SF General. The stabbing suspect was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Some Occupy ilk, via footage posted on YouTube, had accused SFPD of shooting Pralourng while he was cuffed. This just wasn't the case. SFPD spokesman Officer Albie Esparz told SF Examiner, "We have undisputable evidence that he was shot with the weapon in his hand." When asked by SFist for similar clarification, Esparz told us, "Please see our press release on our website."
