Over at Grub Street, an au courant list of the 50 best burgers in San Francisco went live today. And what a rundown it is! They've got choice imagery and description of classics, like In-N-Out ("the bun is sweet and soft, the meat just fatty enough and full of flavor"), instant classics, like Maverick's Bacon Butter Burger ("an isane concoction using Myer Ranch chuck that's ground in-house along with sticks of cold butter, creating a true gut-bomb"), and pretty much everything thing else in between.
Don't fret if you cannot find your burger of choice on the impressive list. They had to trim a few "in order to make room for the plethora of high-quality burgers you can now find across the city." (For what it's worth, Nova's burger is a cheap, hidden gem. Best digested amid a stomach full of beer.)
