Remember that fire the other week that gutted the apartment building at Duboce and Valencia? Well, it took with it a neighboring marijuana dispensary, 208 Valencia Street Caregivers, which sustained damage though it was next door. 208 was actually one of the four dispensaries threatened with closure in the most recent round of threatening-letter-sending by U.S. Attorney Melinda Haag, though they had ignored the threat and stayed open past their April deadline.

Will they get to reopen, despite the government threat? Time will tell. SF Weekly suggests that they intend to. Also threatened in the February wave were Vapor Room, HopeNet, and Shambhala Healing Center. HopeNet, as previously reported, is also fighting to stay open, and only the Vapor Room has said they are going to close. 208 Valencia's website indicates that their delivery service is "coming soon," so perhaps they're going more underground...
