Early this morning Oakland police found a .45 caliber handgun that they believe is the one that was used by shooting suspect One Goh in Monday's shooting at Oikos University. Goh had previously told police that he tossed the weapon into the Oakland Estuary after fleeing the scene and heading to the Safeway in Alameda where he was apprehended. Police however were tipped off by a passerby last night who discovered a gun magazine near the shoreline of a tributary along Leet Drive near Hegenberger Road, which was not near where they had been searching all week.

They had believed the gun to be under deeper water in the Estuary off Doolittle Drive, where they were searching using remote-operated underwater cameras.

The gun was found near the shore at around 5 a.m. this morning.

In related news, Goh's apparent prime target in the rampage, who had long since left her job at the school unbeknownst to him, has been revealed as Wonja Kim of Danville. Kim was an administrator at the school until last fall, having left shortly after Goh dropped out. She had been involved in a dispute with Goh regarding a tuition refund. Another administrator, Ellen Cervellon, who serves as nursing director at Oikos, believed she had been his target because she had been the first to refuse Goh a full or pro-rated refund of his tuition. Cervellon was not at the school on Monday. According to sources close to the case cited by the Chron, Goh has told investigators that Kim was who he was looking for that day, not Cervellon. Oakland police have not yet officially confirmed this.

Goh stands accused of killing Tshering Rinzing Bhutia, 38, of San Francisco; Katleen Ping, 24, of Oakland; Judith Seymour, 53, of San Jose; Lydia Sim, 21, of Hayward; Sonam Choedon, 33, of El Cerrito; Grace Eunhea Kim, 23, of Union City; and Doris Chibuko, 40, of San Leandro.
