The recent wave of knife crime claimed another victim Monday evening in SoMa. As Bay City News reports, a 44-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk near Ninth and Howard Streets in SoMa when a 50-something suspect "walked up to him, called him a name and stabbed him right in the nostril."

The senseless sinus stabbing occurred around 7 p.m. last night and the suspect has yet to be apprehended as of Tuesday morning. The victim, meanwhile, was taken to a hospital and was expected to survive. Anyone with any information about the nose knifer should call SFPD at (415) 575-4444 or send a text to TIP411.
