In Silicon Valley, vanity street names by tech mammoths are as common as racial disparity, wasteland boredom, and Chevys. Apple has 1 Infinite Loop, Genentech has 1 DNA Way, and Sun Microsystem used to call 1 Network Drive its home. Now Facebook, that social media platform where friends try to tell you how to vote and think, is getting a head-scratching new address. It came up with Hacker Way, Menlo Park, 94025, reports to TechCrunch.

1 Hacker Way is the central address for the campus, though specific buildings have their own addresses. For example, 18 Hacker Way is the legal department. An employee tells us that the campus was originally slated to be addressed 1 Social Circle, but Google+ and its Circles friend lists led that named to be scrapped.

While the term "hacker" might raise a few eyebrows with baby boomers and the latter Gen X, bitching-about-privacy sect, the moniker isn't necessarily a bad thing. Have you SEEN (or read) The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo?

What do you think?
