In a move that surprised absolutely nobody, the San Francisco Bike Coalition endorsed visibly progressive candidate John Avalos for San Francisco mayor. In a press release sent out to media, SF Bike Coalition beams, "As an avid cyclist who regularly commutes to work on his bike, Avalos believes that improving the bike infrastructure in the city will reduce traffic and pollution, increase physical activity and provide people with a viable transportation alternative."

And guess what? He's 100% correct.

“The Bike Coalition has a very active, engaged membership” Avalos said “It’s an honor to be endorsed, I have been a member since the 90s, and I’m continually inspired by the great work that they do.”

What's more, Avalos wants to turn San Francisco into "an internationally-renowned biking city." Also, you can catch him on Saturday, along with a slew of other mayoral candidates, as he washes cars for McKinley Elementary.
