As chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Dianne Feinstein knows about a lot of things way before you do. She knew about Osama bin Laden's Abbotabad pleasure palace five whole months ago! After the raid the Senator from San Francisco had no intention of seeking out photographic proof of bin Laden's death, but according to Matier & Ross over at the Chronicle, she eventually succumbed to peer pressure from her colleagues and made the trip down to CIA Headquarters in Langley, Virginia to get a look for herself. Her final verdict? "It was not emotional at all. It is bin Laden and he is deceased." She also went on to say, "I don't need to see those pictures, and no one needs to see them," presumably because of what the Internet will inevitably make out of them.
