All you major bookworms out there are probably already in the know about the 46th Annual Big Book Sale at Fort Mason Center's Festival Pavilion, which opened its doors to the public this morning at 10 a.m. You're probably there right now or went to the member preview last night.

Everyone else, never fear, you have five whole days to score some deals on books, DVDs, CDs, vinyl, and other forms of media. We're told it's the BIGGEST sale to date, with over 500,000 books and media, all $5 or less.

If you hold out until Sunday, everything will be $1 or less, but no doubt, it will be slim pickings by then. (SFist can attest to this. Last year we lugged a bunch of pregnancy books from the '90s all the way home, which never got read.)
