During a concert featuring the Swell Season last night, a man plunged to his death at the Saratoga Mountain Winery, landing next to the lead singer.

According to Mercury News, "At about 10 p.m., lead singer Glen Hansard had just finished a song and was bantering with the crowd, poking fun at a guitar player in his band when witnesses say a man suddenly jumped off the roof near the lighting rig."

"I saw him standing there on the edge of the roof, I thought it was a part of the act, and then he took off running and jumped, did a couple of flips and landed on the stage," concertgoer Kyle Rivers explained to the Mercury News. "It was pretty traumatic."

After the band's lead singer, as well as several doctors in attendance, tried reviving him, the victim was pronounced dead by arriving paramedics. The show was, of course, promptly ended with "concertgoers were left shaken, many of them crying."

Officials haven't determined whether or not it was a suicide.
