Geena Davis, star of such efforts as Cutthroat Island and Stuart Little 2, has a new gig to add to her lustrous resume. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger named her as head of the Commission on the Status of Women, a nonpartisan California commission created to promote women's equality. "I am delighted to join the governor and this commission," Davis beamed in a written statement. "This appointment affords an important opportunity to improve the lives and well being of girls and women throughout California." [AP, via CBS 5]
