Brad Newsham, writer, cab driver, and organizer of the "Impeach" message at Ocean Beach from a few years back, is organizing a "Slash Oil" event that will take place on Saturday at 10 a.m.

About 2,000 people are projected to lie down in the sand at Ocean Beach, spelling out "Slash Oil", which will be photographed overhead by a helicopter at 11 a.m. Newsham asks that participants aim for a 10 a.m. arrival and arrive no later than 10:30 a.m.

Anyone who attends the event will receive an "overhead" postcard.
