LIT: Pulitzer Prize-winning essayist, poet, fiction writer and ardent social activist, Alice Walker, will speak in conversation with KQED Forum's Michael Krasny about her forthcoming book, Overcoming Speechlessness: A Poet Encounters “the horror” in Rwanda, Eastern Congo, and Palestine/Israel, which follows her travels to each of the three regions, charting the aftermath of violent conflict and political upheaval.
