SOMA Power Outage Renders Customers, Bay Bridge Powerless
At around 5:45 a.m. this morning, "a power outage left a portion of the Bay Bridge and a swath of San Francisco's South of Market District in the dark early this morning." It seems, according to BCN (via SF Appeal), "a section of underground cable failed near the intersection of Second and Harrison streets." (SFist HQ, thank God, was left unscathed.) While most of the power has since been restored, the Bay Bridge is still sans electricity.
