The Cal article was outrageously stupid.
First of all, if you've ever been to any of the protests you'll quickly notice that people aren't talking so much about fee-increases and are talking more about decreasing funding for programs, which hurts everyone.
Second of all, there are a lot of people who are not "rich kids" who cannot benefit from FAFSA.
This article seems to have been written by a rich kid who doesn't give a damn about the fee-increases and doesn't understand why anyone else would.

uh, it wasn't the writer's opinion. it was a response to conservative critiques of the student movement. did you read it?

I read the article.
Where's the response?
He takes a less extreme view than the hoover institute guy but still seems to think that the fee-increases are okay and doesn't address the fact that the protests weren't just about the fee-increases.

I just read it again...
He's just quoting different views, which are both similar views. One a little less extreme than the other?

Where is the brilliant response?
Are you guys talking about the part where he says that Cal Kids are smarter than other college students? That's the only original point he makes in the entire article.
