This Week at Heart of the City Farmers Market

At this Wednesday's Heart of the City Farmers Market, located at the United Nations Plaza in Civic Center every Wednesday and Sunday, we

• bought Jalapeno/Garlic Pistachios, which are wonderfully spicy and flavorful, but half of them have flaws -- either the shells stick together, the nut sticks in the shell once you do get them open, and the green powder stains your fingers green.
• sampled some sinful Almond Toffee Popcorn
• and met a guy with a caged parrot, whom he says thinks it's humans and watches over babies so they don't get swept up by hawks. (We had an infant with us.)
