The Prop 8 lawsuit continues, but a different gay rights issue has been resolved. If a Los Angeles court approves the deal, dating website eHarmony will have to do more to welcome gay and lesbian members according to a settlement reached in a class-action lawsuit. A 2008 case had allowed the company to redirect seekers of same-sex relationships to an affiliate site.

Prior to this past spring, eHarmony had no option for homosexual members on its initial questionnaire. These practices were challenged as violating California law against discriminating based on sexual orientation. The Pasadena based company will now have to display and advertise gay and lesbian dating services more prominently.
