Plenty of post-holiday options this week with the star-studded Vic Chesnutt Band at the Great American Music Hall tonight, Toronto's Little Girls at Hemlock Tuesday, perennial favorite Morrissey at Oakland's Paramount Theater Wednesday and the lovely ladies of Oakland's Hotttub at the Rickshaw Stop Friday.

Our pick for the week, however, is Philadelphia's darkwave throwback Cold Cave at Bottom of the Hill on Thursday. Founded by hardcore legend Wesley Eisold (American Nightmare, Some Girls), Cold Cave's recently reissued debut Love Comes Close is packed with insanely catchy synth-driven tracks reminiscent of 80's favorites New Order and Depeche Mode. We had the pleasure of catching the trio at the FYF Fest in September, and can honestly say it was one of the day's real highlights. Cold Cave will by joined Thursday by Former Ghosts (featuring Xiu Xiu frontman Jamie Stewart) and San Francisco's own Veil Veil Vanish -- be sure to get there early.
