Many of those in attendance at the Warfield weren't close to being legal which wasn't much surprise, considering the last time we cared about anything associated with the Warped Tour was when we were barely out of middle school. But even though Paramore isn't our auditory cup of tea, the opportunity to photograph Hayley Williams, the bouncy 20-year old fireball of a lead singer, was one that couldn't be passed up this last Tuesday. Having fleshed out and seasoned their act after opening for No Doubt on their latest tour, the young Tennessean quintet took the stage and electrified the sold out Warfield with their openers "Ignorance" and "That's What You Get".

When watching Williams, her vicious head whips alone would make you believe that she's not that innocent but Paramore does have Christian roots (though they deny being a Christian band). As the NY Times noted:

[Williams] is, among other things, a Christian rock star; in the liner notes to “Riot!”... all the members thank Jesus first." ... "Williams expressed her faith during a discussion of “Misery Business,” which includes the line, “God, does it feel so good.” She explained that when she composed the lyrics, she was taking the Lord’s name “in vain,” but said that her perspective had changed. “i might have led some of ya’ll to believe that i take my saviour lightly and i don’t."

Seems a touch more wholesome than Scott Stapp.
