Stranger things have happened, but we sort of doubt these rumors about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes having maybe possibly been the top secret buyers of one of the most expensive properties in San Francisco, 300 Sea Cliff Ave., which recently sold for $18 million.
Curbed notes that the buyer of record was a small accounting firm in Walnut Creek that serves a number of high net-worth individuals, which to us points the finger away from Cruise, who probably would have used an accountant closer to home? Anyway, Oracle CEO Larry Ellison was also floated as a possible candidate. We just want to go on the record saying that we hope it isn't a big celeb like Cruise because the last thing this town needs is Paparazzi Nation descending on its every charming street whenever Suri emerges for a walk.

Sea Cliff isn't really this town. Let the paparazzi and star chasing fans go there and stay out of our way.
But it IS part of the City.
Seems like a good time for them to move up here. Both of their careers are more or less over. They can retire here in SF where the people don't care about celebrity and won't hound them for fear of looking un-cool. No self-respecting paparazzo would live way up here in SF...they'd be bored to tears. Who they gonna take pictures of? Jello Biafra or Robin Williams?
Let's not forget Danny Glover!
I initially read this as "The Cruise Homeless Moving In to Seacliff"
And when I think about it, I'd absolutely love to put the homeless there. It would dramatically improve the community, and definitely raise the average likability of the locals.
On further thought, it might actually make Seacliff a bit more worth visiting.
LOL. I read it the same, incorrect way.
Just a skip and a hop to the Castro.
