On Friday night, a carjacker was the first civilian vehicle to cross the entire Bay Bridge since its Wednesday closure. "[A] carjacking suspect in a Dodge Nitro made it onto the bridge from San Francisco's Sterling Street ramp, blowing through the barricades around 10:20 p.m.," reported SFGate. The suspect was eventually arrested in Oakland.

It's like playing GTA for real

Note to carjackers... Check your local newspaper occasionally and makes sure there bridges are open before carjacking anyone. Ha.

With CHP & other police agencies hanging out at the entrances and on-ramps on both sides of the bridge, like lots of 'em were doing for the bridge shutdown, a reasonable person might think the Fuzz could've easily put aside the doughnuts for a few minutes and thrown stop (spike) strips somewhere along the route really really easily.

Where's a falling 5000 lb piece of metal when you really need one?

HA! I was sitting on a tugboat in Oakland outer harbor when my deckhand reported the blue lights traveling at high speed across the bridge. I thought the police had just gotten bored and were having a drag race on the empty bridge.

Every now and then you just have to scratch your head and say: "huh???"

I hope they turned off the cameras and beat his sorry dumb ass.
