Friday's Critical Mass was particularly colorful this month in celebration of Halloween. We saw the group go by outside A.C.T before the start of Mamet's November, and the theater crowd was into it.

I tend to give CM a hard time, mostly because they stay inside the confines of Allegedly Liberal SF and not try this elsewhere, where it'd frankly make more of an impact.
But even I can say, this is kinda cool . I mean shit, it's fucking Halloween Week in SF. To NOT have CM on Friday woulda been a letdown.
Some of those costumes are hilarious, btw.

Mark, while I really do support CM, you have to admit that locally, CM covers the same small territory. 300 cities perhaps, but never does CM make its way onto the Peninsula via Mission / El Camino. *That* would be cool, and meaningful.

I don't key cars or use a 'U-lock', I just wore my 'Supergirl' costume and enjoyed the ride.

I thought the ride was fantastic. Super peaceful and relatively non-disruptive. There was an evident lack of traffic in the City after with the bridge closed.
they made the commute home that much more enjoyable. staring at my bus sitting one stop away on market for nearly 20 minutes and then boarding a cramped bus that didn't even move an inch for nearly 20 more minutes ruled.

boy, you should have seen the looks on the faces of the squares when critical mass rode by in their wacky halloween costumes! ha ha! they couldn't find their way back to the suburbs, they were so shaken up!
