Those Life-Size iPhone Dorks and 9 Other Supremely Expensive Halloween Costumes

life-size-iphone-costumes.jpg NBC Bay Area has a cute gallery of a number of extremely involved and expensive Halloween costumes, including those guys who constructed two functioning, human-sized iPhones, and a guy who made a working, life-size Gameboy costume as well. What they call "supremely awesome" we call "trying too hard," but then again for Halloween we're fans of just drenching ourselves in the $11 bottle of theatrical blood we bought three years ago. Our only annual expense is the shirt we're wearing, which must be thrown away afterward, but yes we know lots of other people spend LOTS of money preparing for this holiday, and cheers to them. (And yes, the working iPhones are quite impressive.)

The only reason to dress up is to get laid, and those, I'm afraid, won't get the job done.

the fact that one has to carry a car battery between their legs to power those things is the truly scary part...

Those are just non-functioning slabs of plastic in Golden Gate Park.

Seriously? $2000 to make an iphone costume? That's like making a nike shoe costume of an avis rent-a-car costume. It's a f***ing product. What the hell is wrong with these people? Be Michael Jackson or Farrah Fawcett like everyone else.

"And this is the app that calls my mom to come pick me up."

U guys r just a bunch of haters.. That takes a lot of work and CREATIVITY not just anyone can come up with something like that!! They are true APPLE FANS!! PLUS regardless of how much money they spent at least they had fun I think is AWESOME and is certainly better than paying Party City 400 bucks for a costume because trust me there are expensive costumes out there..

Yeah, and Pete Wentz is a composer.
