Bay Bridge Reopening Looms

While the Bay Bridge remains closed this morning, Caltrans spokesman Bart Ney told reporters, "We are going to do everything we can to open the bridge today." Caltrans is working on inserting new tie rods into the "repaired" portion of the bridge.

Meanwhile, today's commute was, as expected, a nightmare. SFist will update as soon as we know more about the Bay Bridge reopening.
