This should be a regular feature on SFist. I'd love to see running posts of the SF's "highly secure" buildings and the clip-on ties sent to protect them.
After Sept. 11, private businesses were strongly encouraged to implement homeland security measures since they control so much of the nation's critical infrastructure compared to government. They even exchange "intelligence" with law enforcement on suspicious activities and have access to "fusion centers." There's one in San Francisco, which makes Gascon's vow to create a new intelligence unit for the SFPD all the more curious.
If this was taken with a fish-eye lens, it could totally be a screenshot from a really lame rap video.
In the original photo these men had shotguns but then Spielberg decided to edit them out.
im still bitter about that change. not because the guns should have stayed, but because the edit messed up the best moment in the soundtrack.
Nice polyester ties, lads. Tres chic!
Somebody needs to teach Hannity how to tie the damn thing too.
Oh, these guys are fucking nazis. I've seen them shoo away someone taking a picture of the flag in front of the B 'o A building. The AMERICAN flag!
I would like to think they're clip-ons.
they have to be clip-ons for security guards. otherwise it would be too easy to take them down and choke them.
$5 and many internets to the first fleet footed ne'er do well who can snatch the tie off one of these donkeys and post it online.
Hannity only runs for the dinner bell and William Hung isn't following you past Market St.
