Dead Body Found On 5-Fulton

On Friday night, a dead body was found on a 5-Fulton Muni bus. The body has been identified as Christopher Feasel of San Francisco. As the corpse showed no signs of trauma, investigators are still trying to determine the caused of death. (Our guess is the excruciating wait for an elusive 5-Fulton bus did him in.) According to police Sgt. Lyn Tomioka, "Workers discovered Feasel around midnight Friday at the bus yard at Presidio Avenue and Bush Street," but the bus was parked at around 6:30 pm that night.

Investigators will also use surveillance camera footage to see what, if anything, happened on the bus. (Which would be a magical feat since Muni cameras are used for decorative purposes only.)

And of course, the driver didn't bother to check the fucking bus before leaving.

MUNI drivers are used to looking UNDER the bus for dead bodies. Not IN the bus. Honest mistake.

So let's review. An abandoned gym bag is discovered at the end of a run and the entire TransBay terminal is shut down because it might be a bomb.

A person apparently dies onboard a bus, and that is not discovered for 5-and-a-half hours?

Oh shit! What if OSAMA BIN LADEN had planted the body there -- and it was full of explosives!!?!?!?

surely you guys are joking right?

the person probably stole their way on to a parked bus to go die - Muni drivers may be complacent, but they know when their shift ends, and it includes and empty bus...

You have never taken a ride on a MUNI bus, have you?

yeah, cuz this is somehow a funny story.

LATEST NEWS: Muni and the mayor's office are focusing first on investigating, checking camera recordings and asking for witnesses to come forward and identify whether or not the man paid his fare.

LATEST NEWS: The head of MUNI is asking all drivers to now check all passenger areas for bodies and check all 4 wheel wells for lingering bodies, prior to driver double-parking the bus and getting their donunt at all coffee shops.

I hope he paid his fare.

Given the frequency of the 5, I automatically assumed it was the driver.

Muni has certainly been earning it's bad reputation this last month. Good thing I decided years ago to walk and bike to get around the city.

i thought this was going to be a story about a person who was on the bus all day that people thought was just "passed out" and only found out he/she was dead at the end.
