While we weren't lucky enough to score a coveted invitation the Hubert Keller's Burger Bar VIP pre-opening, we look forward to going again and again. Why? Because Keller's ode to the hamburger has a milkshake bar. No, you're not listening. Let us repeat that for you: they have a goddamn milkshake bar. Not only do they have a bar dedicated to the art of blending of milk and ice cream at high speeds, but also a bartender dedicated to making your ass milkshakes.
Oh, and Keller serves up tasty burgers as well. Watch him make a hamburger the right way, right here. (Side note: It's funny when he says "Burger Bar" because it sounds like he's saying "Booger Bar." Also, we're 8.) Burgers range from $8.50-$60.
Burger Bar (Union Square) opened today last week. Sixth floor Macy's, Union Square, Hours are 10:30 a.m. -11 p.m., until 2 a.m. Friday-Saturday.

I think I'll pass on the ass milkshake, but yeah, sounds like it's worth trying out.
if they're going to make more than three flavors of shakes, their vanilla better be the bomb.
His milkshake brings all the boyz to yard.
That $60 burger better come with a happy ending. Srsly.
like a sixty dollar shit
Burger Time screen shot is genious.
Stopped by there Saturday night and saw Hubert walking around, talking to people, and making sure everything was okay. I had the $60 Rossini, which was as good as the one I had at the Vegas location, although the foie gras piece was a bit smaller. They have a lot of specialty shakes, and I went for the one that had a bit of liquor in it. It was good, but definitely on the sweet side. Also, it's hard to tell it's open once the mall closes, because the entrance/lobby area is pitch black, so you don't realize you can go in unless you pull on the door to see it's unlocked. Then you go in, are greeted by a nice hostess, and hop into the elevator.
so was there a happy ending? at least in your mouth (ignore the way that reads)?
Thanks for including the vid. Good run-down PaulV.

Sorry, someone had to do it.
They also have a good selection of beers, like 90 minute Dogfish Head Ale. One of Keller's biz partners was there too and mentioned that while they have to stop serving alcohol ~1:45am, if the place stays popular, they'll keep it open until 4am on weekends.
We stopped by there for dinner tonight while shopping. Wasn't bad; wasn't necessarily fantastic, either, not for the price. Maybe next time I'll go with one of Keller's designs rather than my own. I got a boozeshake too, and it was def. the best part of the meal. Nice view, but the interior is mostly kinda bland. Oh, and Keller is still hanging around, good to see.
