When a Tree [Branch] Falls in the City...

...It gets cleaned up in 30 minutes flat.

This morning we heard what sounded like our crazy upstairs neighbor throwing trash off the fire escape, but then later glimpsed outside the window to find this huge tree branch blocking the road. The men were already chopping it up with chainsaws and then running it through the chipper. They even cleaned up all the debris covering the poor Jetta Golf, whose owner will be none the wiser when they retrieve their car. The poor tree looks pretty sad and empty now though.

(It's a Golf, not a Jetta.)

You know what? Sometimes living in the city is pretty awesome.

Respect, of course, but I'm also reminded of the Oompa Loompas.

Nevermind the veedub... what about the minivan?! Was there any damage to that ride?

It appears to be unscathed. Both it and the Golf are still parked in the same spots today.

Miraculously, no one was parked in the space in front of the green SUV, or they would've been in real trouble!
