Meg Whitman = Bad Citizen

by Chris Jones

Well, well, well. It looks like some pesky reporter over at the Sacto Bee got snoopy and discovered that Former E-Bay CEO and current Republican gubernatorial candidate, Meg Whitman, somehow managed to forget to vote for like the entirety of her whole life. Apparently, the 53 year old Whitman only just registered to vote in 2002. Something tells this writer that failing to perform one’s civic duty at the ballot box sort of renders one’s opinions on how to run the state totally moot. Particularly, if that someone is unfortunate enough to be wandering the streets looking like Joe Lieberman, only a lady. Next?!

why would anyone vote for her?

Why would anyone vote for her?, shit you got a freak Jerry Brown running and are you serious about Golden Boy Newsom ? What has he done for SF... both sides of the table need better candidates

Isn't dissatisfaction with all candidates the hallmark of every California gubernatorial election? Why change that now?

did anyone hear ronn owens interviewing her on kgo this morning? she talked forevveerrr about how people are abusing medical marijuana laws and how they need to be stricter. hahha.

Another Republican wanting to pry into the private lives of adults. Her positions are all over the place and clearly reflect her very narrow and self-important "Atherton - second wealthiest zip code" view of the world. She's anti gay marriage (because of her religious beliefs -- I'm a doubter i.e. I doubt she's very religious), she's pro choice (where's her religion on this issue?), and now let's screw with medical marijuana (probably because Jesus is making her do it). She couldn't find the time to vote -- a process that can take just a few minutes (if you get to the polling station early in the morning) and happens once and maybe twice a year for local elections, every second year for congressional elections and once every four years for Presidential elections. It's not a huge commitment, and I think all parents could spare the time. She's a two-faced, lying, self-entitled nothing.

eMeg was a terrible CEO of eBay, she ran that company into the ground, spending all that money to buy Skype, etc. Why anyone takes this chick seriously is beyond me. Surely the Great State of California can offer better candidates.

Why was Skype such a bad deal? Just because they lost billions by not reading the contract carefully?

Because if that's all then she's fine -- that's exactly how the government works.

my favorite part is that her explanation for this was:

(paraphrased) "i was busy raising my childen and focusing on my HUSBAND's career."

what a brilliant conservative save!

Seriously?! Wow, I'd love to lock that woman in a room with my mom and see who's left standing at the end of the day!

The rich truly are different. Now, where did I put my pitchfork and "French the easy way for budding revolutionaries"?

I'll bet she wishes she could use the "Buy Now" option for the election.

Why would she bother to vote when she can easily buy any politician or policy she wants? Voting, like taxation, is only for the little people.

Hope she steps aside.

Campbell is a much better candidate anyway. He's the only candidate with a PHD in Economics (studied under Milton Friedman) and is socially moderate which plays well with most Californians.

We need a much better alternative to "empty suit" Gavin Newsom and "Old retreat" Jerry Brown.

He's run several times for higher office with no success. Maybe he's a bad candidate?

Yes, clearly if you failed at something you should NEVER, EVER try again, right?

So you're saying that because she is a woman who does not meet your personal standard of physical attractiveness, her opinions are even less valid? Wow, that is some old school sexism right there.

I think he's saying that being a jowly fartsack without ideological principles is no longer the exclusive domain of Joe Lieberman.

Oh, man, thanks for "jowly fartsack."

she just knows how pointless voting in a fake democracy is.
