On Wednesday, SFist asked you to vote for your favorite foggy neighborhood, pitting the Sunset against the Richmond. Over 1,500 votes came in. The winner, creaming her competition my miles, was the Outer Sunset. The gorgeous and peaceful Outer Richmond, much to our surprise, came in dead last. But that's in due part to there being not nearly as much to do (e..g, bars, restaurants, stores, cafes) compared to the other fog-drenched hoods.

All of the votes were mine. I had a tough time making up my mind, so I voted for different hoods.
I suspect voter fraud... particularly since all 25 of my votes for the Inner Richmond were counted. From the same IP even.

The outer Sunset is awesome... if you're a Mycologist specializing in nasty mold. Seriously. I've never been in a house in that neighborhood that wasn't full of dank mold.
Although I guess it would be a good place to live if you're a vampire or you have a skin condition that is exacerbated by exposure to sunlight.

The fog out here can eat entire SUVs alive overnight. Look at the rust on all the lampposts down by the beach. It’s nuts.

agreed, and agreed. i've been sick more often than note lately and my doctor has actually confirmed that the cold/fog/mold in the sunset is the major culprit in affecting my health.
I never had any mold in my place in the sunset. I just was visiting the old apartment last night for dinner with my former roommate. Still no mold. Where else in the city can you get a 200 sqr ft, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 2 car garage place for $2300/month? The sunset, that's where.
