Well, this wasn't cool.

Al's Comics, located on Market Street across from The Center, was vandalized over the weekend. According to Josh Ellingson, who captured the image above, "Around 3-4 a.m. on Saturday, Sept 12th 2009, someone chucked a brick through the front window of Al's Comics on Market St." Which? Sucks. Terribly Because Al's is a great store.

If you want to go over to Al's and buy a bunch of stuff so that they can repair their window -- or so that you can own one of their many top-notch current comics, independent comics, back-issue comics, graphic novels, trading cards, action figures, toys, t-shirts, and posters -- please visit them at 1803 Market or at alscomicssf.com.

Bunch of savages in this town.

Worst act of vandalism EVER!

3-4am, you can probably rule out random drunks walking back to the Mission after a humiliating perfomance of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" at The Mint.

Maybe it's a turf war with Comix Experience.

Someone really must have wanted that Sean Connery photo signed by Roger Moore.

Wow, what an awesome tag! I don't recognize it, though. New artist on the scene?
