Photos: Behold the New iPod Nano

They're very shiny.

Also, they come with video cameras, FM radio, and pedometers. We like this. We like this a lot.

Dude, Steve. FORGET the iPod. It's all about the iPhone now.

Is the camera 3 megapixels, or the same crap available elsewhere?

Does the battery capacity suck any less prodigiously than previous Apple products?

I think they're not addressing these questions for a reason.

Are you incapable of looking up a product spec sheet yourself? Is it that there are too many big words for you to understand it?

What battery issues are you referring to? I have a previous generation Nano, lasts nearly 3 business days non-stop, same with a much older iPod 60GB version, and my iPhone lasts for two business days of non-stop use (yes, I can burn it up faster if I leave bluetooth and wireless running 24/7 but I turn those off when I don't need them, and I have run the battery down even faster taking lots of photos, making lots of calls and doing lots of browsing in a short period of time, but, that's the way batteries work.

I think your conspiratorial persecution complex needs to be given a rest. It was a product launch, not a "cater to the quibbling nabobs of negativity" event.

Short version: Hush and enjoy your Zune.

lacking wit and accuracy, in one short clumsy jab.

you're slipping.

People listen to FM radio?

I guess I'm a bad leftist - I stopped listening to KQED some time ago. Now, I just ignore the outside world in the hopes it will go away.

I must be alone in thinking that the rectangle shape is not aesthetically please. I prefer the square shape of the 3G.

FM radio? really? for the folks who haven't learned how to download a podcast or is it for folks who really enjoy crappy music?

as bad as this might sound, i really like listening to the radio. i like my KQED and KOIT (shut it) and 92.7. i need someone else to program my music and podcasts for me, and radio does that.

that is to say, this is a great ipod for old people. i look forward to buying one soon.

Not ragging on you at all re: radio, but do you use Pandora?

i do. but i've always wanted my ipod to have FM radio capabilities. i need my lite rock/less talk when my play lists get boring.

Brock, I hate to break it to you, but you can buy a perfectly good radio for $10.

Think of all the money you can save -- and all the crackwhore BJs that will get you.

KPOO. FM 89.5- it rules. Please don't give up on radio entirely. Good night.

One thing I noted is that they dropped the price $20.

I really like the idea of a pedometer. I used one in a trial and ended up walking a lot more (I already walk and bike a lot) and shed extra pounds. The trial ended, I gave back the pedometer, and I've missed it since. Maybe the iPod nano will do.

Holy shit! I missed the word "pedometer". I take it back, I would buy this.

oooohh FM tuner on an multimedia device? ppfft.. talk about a feature that is 3+ yrs old. Thanks @pple!
