True, but this draws attention to the issue with a recognizable image that is at least related to what Yoo wrote.
uhh, no, it is not at all related to what Yoo wrote. What was happening in Abu Ghraib was not related not in accordance with U.S. policy and would not have been sanctioned by Yoo's memos. But sure, if you want to slander someone and not actually talk about difficult issues, this is an appropriate image.
Please do me the favor of peddling this line in the SFGate comment section, or some other forum where that kind of patent bullshit is tolerated.
To draw a line from Yoo's 2002 memos legalizing torture to the Abu Ghraib torture and prisoner abuse in 2004 hardly requires a degree from Boalt.
To say they're "unrelated" is either naive or mendacious. And it's pretty fucking late in the game to be mouthing 2007 talking points.
