uhh, no, it is not at all related to what Yoo wrote. What was happening in Abu Ghraib was not related not in accordance with U.S. policy and would not have been sanctioned by Yoo's memos. But sure, if you want to slander someone and not actually talk about difficult issues, this is an appropriate image.
I love the MEANWHILE IN BERKELEY posts its a bit of comic relief in my day , since I actually have a job and work, I enjoy a small peek into the loony bin called Berkeley. Then its back to more important things ... thanks keep the post coming I am sure there are many to choose from each day!
Wonder how long he can keep his arms up like that.
Are we giving grades? 'Cause I'd give it an A. They did it right in front of the Law School building and called out John Yoo specifically.
Never mind that what they are illustrating has no relationship to what Yoo said was legal. But, hey, this is more dramatic.
True, but this draws attention to the issue with a recognizable image that is at least related to what Yoo wrote.

Please do me the favor of peddling this line in the SFGate comment section, or some other forum where that kind of patent bullshit is tolerated.
To draw a line from Yoo's 2002 memos legalizing torture to the Abu Ghraib torture and prisoner abuse in 2004 hardly requires a degree from Boalt.
To say they're "unrelated" is either naive or mendacious. And it's pretty fucking late in the game to be mouthing 2007 talking points.
Thanks for that SFBurke. At least there's one other sane non-Demagog in the Bay Area.
gotta be hot in that get up on a day like today.
¡TODOS SOMOS OSCAR GRANT!
Maybe this is the guy who was expelled for making the internet bomb threat against Hastings? Getting his revenge.
I doubt it.

I propose that spysea be put in charge of the "Meanwhile, in Berkeley..." segment.
I love this. please continue.
