Curatiba? the one in Brazil? The one you stop in on your way to Floripa or Islo de Mel? That place is a dump!!!! My guess, film not shot on location.
We went to this and really enjoyed both documentary films! The first film shows creative solutions for improving efficiency of public transportation (Muni take note!), shows their approach to increasing green spaces, and integrating affordable housing into city centers. Most importantly it shows how effective city government can be... and by comparison, how far SF still has to go.
The second documentary is short, amusing and powerful in that it distills so many issues into a coherent case for re-orienting the US away from a "consumer culture."
