On Sunday morning, the annual San Francisco Marathon laced throughout the foggy streets of the city. Carb-loaded men and women took part in full marathon (26.6 miles), 2 half marathons, 5k, or the "progressive marathon" events. The main course went back and forth across the Golden Gate Bridge, weaving around the city, ending at the Embarcadero.
The winners from yesterday's race were three-time Texan Andrew Cook, 28, and Yoko Shibui, 30.
Did any of you run in yesterday's race? How did you place?

I ran the 2nd half and finished right in the middle, which is fine by me. It was a lot of fun. I was amazed at how many people came out and supported the runners, lots of signs, cheering, so much positivity. Watching people run is pretty boring but still, so many supporters. I think the race monitors were members of local Harley Davidson chapters, which was cool to see.
I ran the 5k ... Wasn't quite ready for a half, which I will do in San Jose in Octobr. The field must have been pretty slow because I ended up in the top 50, which was a surprise to me. I started out a bit too fast and was nearly dead by the end, but I did set a new PB.
this damn race almost made me late for work, but i still smiled and clapped for the people - that shit is hard work!
