The annual San Francisco Frozen Film and Music Festival, which was founded in 2006 and was named after the famous (and alleged) Mark Twain quote, "The coldest winter I ever spent was my summer in San Francisco," had fallen under SFist's radar until now.
The festival is a "collection of razor's edge independent films and bands, including nights of live music concerts, short films, animation, global features, long and short documentaries, skate films, music documentaries, and music videos." All films are showing at Roxie Theater. Check out this year's line-up.
The Opening Night Mixer happens tonight at Space Gallery from 7-9 p.m., and the Festival Feature Concert will be on Sunday at Edinburgh Castle at 8 p.m.

It's a good quote, but Mark Twain never said that.

Ha, that's hilarious. Except it does sound like the quote was embellished from that part in a letter where Twain was asked whether he had ever seen such a cold winter, and he replied, "Yes, last summer." Still a stretch though.
And due to climate change, it hasn't been so cold here lately anyway.

Tell me I'm not the only one who sees a drippy cock and balls in that poster.
Well, now I do...
I highly suggest you check out the films as well as the opening party tonight @ Space Gallery. I went last year and had a blast!
