MS-13 sorority sisters Danilo Velasquez,, 28, and Luis Herrera, 18, were arrested yesterday in connection with the shooting death of Moises Frias Jr., a Daly City college student. It seems the two members of the notorious (and notoriously dimwitted) MS-13 gang mistook Frias for a rival gang member. Why? Because he was "wearing the wrong-colored baseball cap and sweater."
According to SF Chronicle, "the three mistakenly believed that they were attacking members of a rival gang when they opened fire the evening of Feb. 19 on a car carrying Frias and three friends, said Daly City police Lt. Jay Morena."
But wait, it gets worse. "The four men had been listening to loud rap music before the assailants opened fire." Also, one of "Frias' friends wore a white San Francisco 49ers baseball cap with red on it, and another had on a red sweater," the Chron reports. "The suspects apparently believed the men were members of the rival Norteño gang, which claims the color red."
While these MS-13 (a spin off the Sureños) gang members are undeniably sexy, they could stand to think things through before going forward with mischief. It's just good business sense.

What makes it extra special is the juxtaposition of this post with the next. When a man called Andrew Bennett is *injured*, it "sounds pretty harrowing". When a man called Moises Frias is *killed*, well, that's just fucking hilarious.

ok, i'm all for taking the piss out of racially charged stuff such as this, but the 'which gang is your favorite' poll is taking white SF ironic sensibility just a bit too far for me. These are stupid, effed up kids who are killing each other and the adults who should be protecting them - and all children - from themselves don't give a shit (the adults are us, in case that's not obvious, including Ms. Valasquez). What they get instead is pithy cleverness on this oh so pithy and clever blog. Maybe there's a big wheel race or a hoolahoop fest this weekend that will make me feel better about it.

The M-13 are undeniably sexy? What planet are you from? San Francisco gets convictions for just 8% of it's gang related crime and it is way, way up. Kiss the tourism goodbye, kiss your jobs goodbye (what company wants to do business in a crime infested city?) and kiss your children goodbye. They are KILLERS. Oh, and I'll bet the friends and family of Mr. Frias were dancing happy little West Side Story jigs at his funeral. As long as it made you chuckle I guess it's alright.

There was an article in the NYTimes a while back that said whem MS-13 members are deported from LA to El Salvador that a US representative flys with them to coach them on how to cover their tatoos and blend into society.
Why? Because the El Salvador government is so afraid of the gang that the police look for their colors and distinctive tatoos at the airport, arrest them on sight and make them "disappear".
Suddenly I feel glad I live in the tenderloin. Heck I wear Red, and Blue... nearly on a daily.

Surenos by far definetley are the biggest and craziest gang in San francisco they are so huge in numbers they are also the biggest gang in the east bay Richmond 510 is a gigantic Sureno blue rag city and Oakland is another huge Sureno city and your wrong sweetheart 18ST doesn't use black rags they use blue rags cuz 18st is another subset of the fascinating Surenos gang which is by far the biggest and most dominate gang in the bay area actually all of California they are in every single city from the san diego border to the entrance of oregon~you should change 18st from black to blue they would get mad if they saw your mistake~41510 yeee haw wild westcoast go blue!
